Zain works within the corporate team at Newton Legal and regularly supports foreign investors establishing their presence in Bahrain. She has been involved in a number of energy projects, including solar photovoltaic initiatives. Zain joined the firm in 2025 as a Trainee Associate, advises on Bahraini law and provides ongoing support on corporate governance matters for multinational companies operating in the region. Her bachelor’s dissertation on the use of cryptocurrency for money laundering in Bahrain was invited for publication, and she is currently in the process of being admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales.

  • Advised as part of the team on solar photovoltaic projects, including the installation of solar power systems at Exhibition World Bahrain and Mumtalakat’s General Poultry Company.
  • Advising crypto-asset institutions on regulatory matters, including CBB regulations.
  • Advising government entities and government-owned companies on regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Regularly supports foreign investors to expand their presence in Bahrain, working closely with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
  • Advised as part of the team a closed joint-stock company in connection with a joint labour dispute.
  • Advised as part of the team a listed company, acting as lead counsel, in the proposed sale of a subsidiary.
