Samar works closely with leading corporate and financial institutions and government-owned entities in Bahrain. Her experience includes advising on both cross-border and domestic acquisitions and sales, as well as corporate governance, restructuring, and regulatory compliance and processes. She has extensive experience supporting key international investors in establishing and expanding their presence in Bahrain, across sectors including healthcare, logistics, e-commerce, industrial and technology.

During her tenure, Samar was seconded to a leading entertainment company in Bahrain and has also been acting as Secretary to the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) since 2021.

Samar joined the firm in 2018 as a Trainee Associate and was later promoted to Associate in 2021 and Senior Associate in 2025.

Experience

  • Advised on and led the establishment of a Bahrain subsidiary of a leading regional e-commerce group to expand its business into the Bahraini market.
  • Advised on the winding up of a multimillion-dollar private equity fund.
  • Advised on and led the regulatory licensing of a first-of-its-kind healthcare joint venture in Bahrain.
  • Advised a group of creditors on the cross-border restructuring of an international manufacturer and acted as local counsel in implementing the restructuring.
  • Advised Ahli United Bank on its cross-border acquisition, including its delisting from the Bahrain Bourse and subsequent rebranding.
  • Advised a leading financial instruction on revising its terms and conditions.
  • Advised on the reacquisition of equity in a regional pharmaceutical group.
  • Acted as local counsel on the sale of a global insurance company’s equity in a joint venture in Bahrain.
