Marya joined Newton Legal in 2025 as a Trainee Associate in the corporate department, working in contract reviews and drafting, legal due diligence, and corporate secretarial roles. Prior to joining Newton Legal, Marya gained experience through volunteering and work experience opportunities in the legal clinics during her time at King’s College London and the University of Law, in addition to legal assistant and legal intern roles.

  • Undertook legal due diligence in acquisition matters, notably the acquisition of Amalfi Foods by Ghitha, a portfolio company of Mumtalakat.
  • Prepared meeting minutes for publicly listed and limited liability companies.
  • Drafted and reviewed contracts for Mumtalakat-owned companies. 
  • Effected share transfers for closed shareholding and limited liability companies.
