Omaima joined Newton Legal as an Associate in 2017. She works closely with the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding), the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) and the Prime Minister’s Office among other clients.

Omaima advised nogaholding on their ESG-linked Murabaha Facility which was recognized by the IFLR Middle East Awards 2022 under the category “Deal of the Year: Loan”, with Newton Legal being awarded as one of the law firms involved in the facility. She also advised nogaholding on Neste’s exit from the Bahrain Lube Base Oil Company, a joint venture between nogaholding, BAPCO and Neste. In addition, Omaima handles acquisition deals, including acting for and advising a leading international laboratory testing company which sought to expand in the Kingdom of Bahrain by acquiring a local testing laboratory.

Omaima previously represented two leading national companies in the energy sector in an UNCITRAL arbitration seated in London and acted as Secretary to the Board of Directors and Subcommittees of the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) B.S.C. Closed.
