Maryam joined Newton Legal in 2016 and is currently working in the position of senior associate at the firm. Maryam works closely with Bapco, nogaholding and the Office of H.R.H. the Prime Minister. Her notable projects include the following:
- Advising governmental entities on various medicine and vaccine agreements related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Advising a governmental entity on the procurement of consultancy services in relation to the implementation of a billing and enterprise asset management system, including drafting various complex consultancy services agreements for the different stages of the project, negotiating the terms of these agreements, as well as considering and advising on local law requirements.
- Advising a Bahraini Shareholding Company on its restructuring, including drafting a new shareholders’ agreement, as well as the amended and restated articles and memorandum of association.
She is one of the proud recipients of The Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal for Medical Merit.
Qualifications
- Master of Laws in International Legal Practice (LPC-LLM) at the College of Law, Bloomsbury, United Kingdom.
- LLB from the University of Exeter
- Qualified lawyer in England and Wales.
