Newton Legal Advises Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) on its Renewable Energy Project

Newton Legal advised the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) on their power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) on a pioneering public-to-public renewable energy project. The landmark initiative is the first of its kind in Bahrain and supports EWA’s expansion into renewable energy.

The project is expected to generate surplus energy in excess of REHC’s consumption requirements and contributes to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s strategic objective of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2060. The team advising REHC was led by Ahmed Al Fardan.
