Newton Legal advises on PPAs for OAK and Al Dana, BIC and BTEA

Newton Legal advised the purchasers in power purchase agreements (PPA) with OAK Energy & Infrastructure. The project will supply renewable power to three facilities, Al Dana Amphitheatre, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB).

Supported by UK Export Finance (UKEF), the project is valued at approximately USD 50 million and is expected to generate over 150 GWh of clean energy annually, marking a significant milestone in Bahrain’s clean energy transition.

The firm’s team was led by Ahmed Alfardan (Partner). The mandate builds on the firm’s growing track record advising on renewable energy projects across the region.
