Newton Legal Advises on Eskan Bank’s Syndicated Facility

Newton Legal acted as local counsel in the BHD 250 million syndicated facility for Eskan Bank. The agreement was signed to support the country’s housing programmes and projects.

The team, led by Ahmed Al Fardan and included Omaima Alkooheji, worked with the agent banks, namely National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) and Bahrain Islamic Bank (BIsB). This follows a similar mandate where the firm advised Eskan Bank on the syndicated shariah complaint multi-currency financing of Eskan Bank in September 2024.
