Newton Legal Advises GPC on Renewable Energy Project

Newton Legal advised on the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) signed by General Poultry Company (GPC), a subsidiary of Mumtalakat, and Kanoo CleanMax. The team was led by Ahmed Al Fardan and included Zain Al Maskati.

The project aims to install a 1.5 MWp rooftop Solar PV Powerplant in Hamala, generating 2,400 MWh of clean energy (90 per cent of GPC’s daily energy use), in line with the Kingdom’s 2060 Carbon Net Zero goal. This reflects the firm’s growing practice in renewable energy projects.
