Newton Legal Advises GIB in Syndicated Financing of NBB

Newton Legal acted as lenders local counsel advising Gulf International Bank (GIB) in the US$ 450,000,000 syndicated financing of the National Bank of Bahrain. More specifically, the firm advised on Bahraini law considerations and the transaction documents.

The landmark syndicated financing, which brought together multiple regional and international banks, was signed in order to strengthen NBB’s capital and liquidity strategy. The team was led by Ahmed Al Fardan and included Omaima Al Kooheji.
