Newton Legal advises Ghitha on the Acquisition of a Minority Share in Amalfi Foods

The firm advised on the acquisition of a strategic minority share in Amalfi Foods, an up-and-coming Bahraini company manufacturing baked goods, acting for Bahrain Food Holding Company (Ghitha), which operates under Bahrain’s sovereign wealth fund, Mumtalakat.

The team comprised of Ahmed Al Fardan, Nadia AlJaber, Maryam Al Bastaki and Marya AbdulKarim, who worked together with Ghitha to close the transaction. As a result of the deal, up to 100 new job opportunities will be created for young Bahrainis, 20 new products will be introduced, and production is expected to double due to the establishment of a brand-new facility.
