Ahmed joined Newton Legal in the year 2015 and today he is the Partner of the firm.

Ahmed has advised a number of leading national companies such as nogaholding, Bapco, Bapco Retail, Ahli United Bank and Mumtalakat. His experience includes drafting and revising various agreements including consultancy agreements, services agreements, and shareholders’ agreements.

Ahmed has been leading the local law review of the financing agreements that have been entered into by nogaholding.

Ahmed has experience in legal disputes over various jurisdictions, before and after they materialize to active cases, whether in litigation or arbitration. In particular, he advises clients on their legal position when a dispute arises, how to best mitigate a legal dispute, the suitability of pursuing a claim and/or appealing a judgement, the choice of counsel to represent the client and the clients’ strategy in an ongoing dispute. Relevantly, he has advised a national company on an international construction dispute.

He has also advised a national company on cost-saving measures imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to advising clients on a number of employment related matters including local and cross border litigation.

Ahmed has contributed to the Legal 500’s International Arbitration Comprehensive Guide in both 2020 and 2021.
