Newton Legal’s growing Banking and Finance practice has seen the firm entrusted with the role of acting as local counsel in cross-border financing by a number of large national companies. In addition, our Banking and Finance team has advised on project financing, fund formation, and voluntary and court-led reorganisation and insolvency.

The firm was engaged by Garmco in its $268 million reorganisation; the first reorganisation proceeding brought under Bahrain’s 2018 Reorganisation and Bankruptcy Law. Newton Legal was engaged by nogaholding in its $2.2 billion ESG-linked facility and Bapco in the project financing of the $ 7 billion Bapco Modernisation Programme.
