Awatif joined Newton Legal in 2017. She is a qualified Bahraini lawyer and currently an Associate at Newton Legal.

Awatif works closely with a number of key clients including the Office of H.R.H Prime Minister, Gulf Aluminum Rolling Mill, Bahrain Islamic Bank and the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions.

Awatif experience include advising on the restructuring of a leading national company including amending its constitutional documents, reviewing agreements, drafting board of directors’ resolutions, drafting agendas and minutes of meetings. Furthermore, Awatif represents clients as debtors and creditors before the Bahraini courts in bankruptcy proceedings including reorganisation and liquidation. 

Awatif is involved in projects with the office of HRH the Prime Minister. The work includes conducting benchmark studies, reviewing legislations and drafting regulations. She further advises government entities on their commercial and administrative matters and general Bahraini law requirements.

  • Master of Laws with Merits specializing in International Commercial Law from Coventry University- United Kingdom (2021)
  • Bachelors in Law from the University of Bahrain (2017)
